My Birthday!

It’s my birthday, hooray! There are a lot of pros and cons to having your birthday on Christmas day, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Another year older… none wiser though, I can tell you that. Good night, have a merry Christmas!

Life: Parties, Games, and Christmas

It’s been a little while since I’ve updated here. The last couple of days have just been way too crazy for me to sit down and write anything. This is just a quick little write up of the last few days, then I need to catch some seriously missed zzz’s.

Okay, so last night was my friends 22nd birthday party. Nothing too over the top, just a gathering at his house with close friends. There was about twenty of us in total. I don’t drink a lot, just as a personal rule, so it’s always funny to be the sober one at a party. Some would say that makes me the ‘wet blanket’, but all my friends know me enough to accept that I don’t drink much, so that’s good. All of my friends are happy drunks, which is also reassuring. It was really fun, and a very late night. I crawled out of an inflatable mattress on the floor of a living room with about fifteen other people in it this morning. I caught up on some sleep this afternoon, and now unfortunately it’s late at night and I’m wide awake. My favorite part of the night was everyone gathering around and playing Guitar Hero. We did Bohemian Rhapsody, and literally everyone sang along to the whole thing and it was amazing. Kind of like that scene from Wayne’s World.

All my spare time has been spent playing Bravely Default. Wow. This game is a time sink, but it’s amazing, and has taken the spot of my favorite 3DS game. Actually, possibly one of my favorite games of the last couple of years. I’ll write my detailed thoughts when I beat the game.

Christmas shopping is the worst. The shopping centers are jam packed, and it’s just too busy and awkward at this time of year. Trying to go anywhere is a pain, either being traffic or just crowds of people. I love Christmas, but jeez, sometimes the hysteria that comes with the season is hard to put up with. I’m finally finished with all the shopping, so I can relax now and enjoy Christmas, and my birthday too. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it before, but my birthday is Christmas Day. It has its good points and its bad, but it basically means that the 25th of December is my most anticipated day of the year. I feel really old now though. ;_;

Time to sleep! Here is my list of things that I’m working on posting:

– Japan Trip. This will be in a couple of parts, it’s taking a long time to write. This is my main priority, but I’ll probably write things up inbetween parts.

– Bravely Default review. For reasons I already mentioned.

– Starbomb album review. I’ll write up a track by track thing for this album. I don’t usually listen to this kind of music (I can only deal with so much profanity and crude jokes), but I’m such a big fan of Game Grumps that I find myself really liking this album. More on that later!

Don’t expect much to be posted until the New Year, this season will just continue to be crazy for me. But, I’ll try and post a lot more regular in the following weeks. Bye bye!
